Charlie’s Challenge 2022

September 24th

Akron Marathon

A few months after the passing of Charlie, David was spending time with his close cousin Jeffrey. They were talking about family and children, the focus of many conversations now that they were both parents. Jeffrey told David he had been thinking about a way in which to keep Charlie in mind. He wondered if there was interest in running a race. The Akron Marathon offers a relay option where a team of five individuals can each run a section of the 26.2 mile course. Jeffrey thought it would be a good way to stay in shape and to honor the memory of Charlie. They decided to go for it and recruited their siblings.

The five relay team members were David Corvi, Ernest Corvi, Erica Logan, Jeffrey Hehr and Jason Hehr.

The Charlie’s Challenge Team raised over $21,000!

Thank you so much to all near and far who contributed to our efforts.
